Practical support vision

Compassion that takes practical form.

We believe spiritual care should be accompanied by practical compassion.

As resources permit, The Potter’s New Life Centre intends to provide food and other basic necessities to people experiencing material need, and to develop food-growing and farming initiatives that can support this work. This is developing future work; it does not indicate an existing farm, land purchase, or food-distribution programme.

Donation and Financial Management

Potter’s New Life Centre is committed to faithful and responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to it and to maintaining appropriate accountability and transparency in the use of donations and financial management.

Voluntary donations will support practical care work, including providing food and other basic necessities to people experiencing material need and supporting growing and agricultural initiatives related to this work. We maintain appropriate financial and accounting records for donations and expenditures and manage these records in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

We respect the privacy of our donors. Donor names, contact information, addresses, financial information, and other personal or sensitive information will not be disclosed as part of the Centre’s public financial records.

To further strengthen financial transparency and verifiability, the Centre is developing a digital financial transparency system using distributed ledger technology (DLT). Under the planned system, donations and expenditures will be recorded using transaction identifiers that do not contain personally identifying information. This will allow the public to better understand how funds are received and used and, where applicable, independently verify relevant records through blockchain technology. Formal accounting records, donor information, receipts, invoices, and other supporting documents will remain securely maintained by the Centre and will not be published on a public blockchain.

The Centre has completed its federal incorporation as a Canadian not-for-profit organization and is currently applying to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for registered charity status. Until registered charity status is granted, the Centre is not able to issue official Canadian charitable donation receipts.
